The ghosts of Hells Hollow at Mcconnells Mills

In Feb. of 2010 Ghost Hunter Kim and I made a trip out to McConnell’s Mills state park. There was an old story we wanted to check out. The ghosts of Hells Hollow, with a name right out of a Harry Potter book it did spark our interest.  Sadly we have not met anyone that really could put a finger on the story; still most people think it’s haunted. The history of the site is linked to the limestone kiln and to the fact that it is on hells run a small stream in the park with a waterfall in the hollow where the kiln is located. We know the kiln was built to turn the limestone and near by clay in to cement. I have not been able to find out when it was built. The mill was built in 1852 and I’m sure it was use to build the mill, but I can’t find any history of it before the mill although it looks like it predates the mill. The trail its self is an easy half mile walk. Kim and I made the walk just after her last heart attack. I took with us a digital camera, camcorder, and an EMF meter. We took EMF readings, pictures and video from outside and inside of the kiln and near the falls. As we thought we found no sign of any paranormal activity at the time we were there. We think the stories have more to do with the look of the kiln and the name of the location. If it was called bubbling daisy stream you would look for daisies. It is a very nice walk I would recommend it to anyone buy not if you think your going to find any ghosts
