2010/05/15 Rails to Trails below Summit School

   On May 15^th 2010 we went to Check out another urban legend. For years there has been legend of strange lights, mists and train noises along the tracks below summit School. Some time ago local kids knowing of the legend put up lights and things to fool would be site seers. Knowing this we thought we would be able to it on our list of other urban legends very quickly. Some time ago the track were removed to make the walking and bike riding trails that run from Butler to Freeport. Present for this investigation was Ghost Hunter Kim, Dana B., Jamie K. Andy H. and Son and I (Jamie, Andy and His Son are no longer part of G&K). When we got to the site the group split up and started to walk down the trail. We did hear the sound of trains but since there are working tracks in Butler a few miles away and sound carries at night. There was no way to say it was not coming from them. We did record cold spots that were noticeable when you walked into then. Again because we’re outside they were hard to prove. Throw out the night we kept seeing some off in the distance just outside of our vision. We took a lot of pictures. In some of the photos we found Orbs, Mists and one strange photo that are below. As it was May and the temp was in the 50s and no one is aloud to smoke on investigations. They could be paranormal. We also caught some video of what looked like tracks, the video was of poor quality but we could not reproduce the tracks. At the end of the night I shined a high intensity flash light down the trail. At the point three of us saw a dark shadow of a person step out on the path then stepped right back into the weeds. We ran down to where the shadow stepped out and it was all thorns and undergrowth with no way for a living person to step out or in with out disturbing it. We have not seen any sign of lights setup by the kids in the past. What we thought would be easily disproved turn into something that needs more study. And could be a real ghost story after all.

Base EMF readings were 0 as we were outside with no power lines
